About
Hello there! Welcome!
I am your resident Book Dragon, Leticia. *waves!*
What is a Book Dragon, you ask?
Well, instead of hoarding gold, I hoard books! I also hoard witchy things (Kitchen Witches and Garden Witches unite! Merry Meet and Blessed Be), coffee, tea, bats and sloths! But not unlike regular dragons, I'm also sassy and moody, and I'm quick to make my wit and sometimes, my annoyance, known. So tread lightly, for this Book Dragon is reading quietly. Shhh!
I'm 35 years of age.
I live in the Kitchener-Waterloo area of Ontario, Canada. I'm originally from a small town not far from KW called Stratford (yes, I know Justin Bieber. No, I do not like him. He's merely... tolerated.) But growing up there, there wasn't much to do. Except sit by the river and watch people from all over the world go to our Stratford Festival Theatre in the fanciest of ball gowns (people, you're just sitting for a couple of hours, it's not a ball or dance!), being chased by hellion swans or exploring the wonderful library. Or getting into trouble. I choose books. Good choice huh?
I'm a huge advocate for mental health. I, myself, deal with agoraphobia and panic disorder, social phobia and generalized anxiety. I run an online group for people with agoraphobia and monophobia, which go hand in hand often. It's given me many years of joy helping people and seeing them blossom.
I'm an avid video game player as well. When I'm not reading, you can definitely find me playing some of my favourite games: 7 Days to Die, Dorfromantik, Stardew Valley, Minecraft, CoD Warzone and Outbreak and The Sims 4.
I started Shh, I am Reading in October 2014 after a friend remarked that I would make a pretty dang good reviewer. I, kind of, doubted him. However, one of the free books I happened upon for my Kobo eReader was asking for reviews at the end. I thought, hey what the heck, lets try. I left a review and received an e-mail a day or two later asking if I had a blog. So I did my research and tada: Shh, I am Reading was born and in business receiving book reviews.
Now that my introduction is done, please read my Review Policy and check out what genre's I read before sending a review request! For more information, please e-mail me at [email protected].
